Websites don't always need to support a brick and mortar location. In today's world many people earn their paychecks by working online exclusively. One might consider running their own web-based business that gives consumers free information, such as one of my own websites, TupeloWeather.com. By offering useful, accurate information a following is developed. Once your website has a substantial number of visitors it becomes an attractive place for other businesses to advertise their own websites, services, products and more. Many people write blogs that contain interesting information to build their website traffic. One potentially great income producer for such a website is reviewing or even just mentioning products that are available on Amazon.com or other websites that offer commissions to those websites that attract and send customers to their websites via embedded hyperlinks. In many cases the website owner will even be paid a commission if someone clicks the link on their website and either doesn't purchase for a few days or they might even purchase a totally different product than what brought them to Amazon (or other such site). Perhaps you design and build handmade products and would use your website as an online version of a brick and mortar location.
